Duolingo Review | PCMag

 Duolingo is a great tool for learning a new language. It offers 39 languages and displays the lessons in many fun ways. There are lots of games that will help you become familiar with over 2,000 words in a language. Duolingo uses spaced out repetition to help you learn in a quick and effective way. This app is used in many places, especially in schools. Teachers utilize this app to help their students learn even outside the classroom as well.

    In my own experience with this app, it has helped me in so many ways possible. Using Duolingo on a daily basis helps me understand a little more with what other people who speak a different language are saying. An example of Duolingo being useful in my life is when I was in Punta Cana last summer, many of them speak fluently in Spanish. Therefore, I was able to speak to them in their language with the help of Duolingo. In my future career Duolingo will also help me because if I work in healthcare many patients speak different languages. I will have to be able to understand them if they are in need of my help, so Duolingo will also help me in my future as well. Duolingo is a great app and is more useful than many people think it is.

    Hello Camryn,
    Duolingo is a great app-- I've used it myself for learning Japanese and Spanish! Used in conjunction with real speaking practice, it's such a great resource. Learning a second language in Healthcare is always a plus. Best of luck with your future language learning and great presentation!

    I have never used duolingo before. I think that it is neat to be able to learn and study a new language while using an app. I like that it is easy to navigate. This is a great resource for many people.

    Hi Camryn. Duolingo sounds very intriguing. Since learning a new language can probably be very tough and frustrating at times, it sounds like Duolingo can cut down on that frustration and provide a happy and fun way to retain the language. I can definitely see why this app would be used among teachers and students in schools because the combination of fun and learning is such an effective way to teach students. I can also see why this app would be beneficial for your future career in healthcare since it is extremely important that doctors are able to understand their patients, as well as provide them with proper treatment and communication skills.

         The chapter begins with explaining how sometimes you may have to change your values and beliefs to create connected learning with others. Web 2.0 Smackdown Presentation - Zoom - Camryn Juckett

     Presentation:   https://youtu.be/RDnWPoMWWvc Zoom is a great app for virtual  calls, whether it be for work, school, or even just another way to talk to many friends. It was created in 2011 by Eric Yuan. It is very easy to create a basic account, just by using an email and a password. Zoom offers many features as I showed in the video but some more fun features are playing games on there, watching a show with your friends on it together, and messing around with the virtual backgrounds. I am very familiar with Zoom because I used it for classes for almost two years when COVID was happening. Personally, Zoom is very easy to navigate and sometimes fun to use. It is very useful nowadays because some people still feel uncomfortable with going out in large groups, and also someone could be out sick but still be there virtually. Overall, Zoom is a very productive app for many people across the globe. I hope my basic run down of the app helps you guys!
