The Connected Educator Summary of Chapter 2 - Camryn Juckett

     In this chapter of The Connected Educator it emphasizes on professional learning communities. This typically means that educators come together and share their thoughts to become better in the classroom and help students reach their full potential in the classroom. In my future profession as a physical therapist or athletic trainer, it will be important to share thoughts and ideas to better understand how you can help your patients and figure out the best treatment you should give. For example, "'When teachers collaborate and share their practices collaboratively, they become aware of colleagues with better results and are more receptive to adopting effective practices that lead to improved teaching and learning'" (page 36). This demonstrates that in my future career, I can share my thoughts with other colleagues to get better results and further my knowledge and make my own personal work stronger as well.
